1. Actualia Scenography: In a series of lectures, a number of exhibitions are deconstructed and unraveled in image and text. Different genres exhibitions for museums, fairs and cultural institutions, large, small, short and long-term will be discussed and shown. Starting with the first contact with the client, the question and debrief, location research, business agreements, the licensing process, role and responsibilities of the designer, construction and dismantling up to the financial settlement. But also the less attractive sides of the profession are also discussed how do you deal with the different stakeholders in a project? Who determines what? And who pays?
2. Actualia retail design: From the evolution of both retail design, branding, consumer behavior and shopping behavior, the architecture of retail is discussed. This goes from small scale (small shops) to large scale (urban). In addition, the visions and creations of the most important designers, designers and thinkers are discussed. The students are offered a theoretical framework with which they can critically reflect on the current retail landscape and consumer behavior. The focus here is on knowledge needed to design a well-functioning store.
