This course starts by providing you with a brief introduction to the EU, its competences, and its main institutions. The remaing part of the course focuses on four key topics:
- The principles of EU law governing its application in domestic law: primacy and direct effect
- Fundamental rights protection in the EU
- The Court of Justice of the EU (jurisdiction, in particular the preliminary reference procedure)
- The internal market (the freedom of movement and competition) |

|
The students need to write one or more papers.
Depending on the number of participants, the assessment may change at the resit. |
