| Learning outcomes |
- EC
| The newly graduated student is able, for complex problems and at integrated level, to develop a prevention and treatment plan on the basis of a physiotherapeutic diagnosis, carry out the preventive/curative treatment and evaluate and report on the results of this treatment. | | - DC
| The student is able to draw up a patient-oriented technology-based treatment plan with definition of treatment goals. | | | - BC
| The student can define indications and contraindications for different types of rehabilitation technology. The student knows aspects of motor learning and feedback inherent in different types of technology. The student can draw up a treatment plan including treatment goals with the support of rehabilitation technology. | | - DC
| The student can describe and explain the technology-based treatment of neurological problems. | | | - BC
| The student can describe how rehabilitation technology can be used in the context of the treatment of the patient and with the distinction of progression of adaptation possibilities in function of the neurological problem. | - EC
| The newly graduated student is able to assess international scientific and technical literature with a view to an evidence-based approach to clinical practice. | | - DC
| The student can interpret relevant and recent research findings in function of a clinical question. | | | - BC
| The student can select an appropriate scientific paper about (the effectiveness of) a rehabilitation technology and interpret the findings in function of (contra)indications in neurological rehabilitation. |
| EC = learning outcomes DC = partial outcomes BC = evaluation criteria |
Main themes that are addressed in a clinical, evidence and societal perspective:
Rehabiltiation techology principles (hardware, virtual reality and serious games, motor learning feedback, evaluation modules)
Rehabilitation technology applications (upper limb rehabilitation MS and stroke, balance and gait, quantified self, E-programs)

Conditions | The student conducts the presentation according to the guidelines. |
Consequences | If the student is illegitimate absent during the presentation, the student will receive a '0' for this part. If the student is legitimately absent during the presentation, a replacement assignment is provided. |
Additional information | The final grade is the weighted mathematical mean. If a student has a grade of <10/20 on the group work, or the individual written exam, the weighted mathematical average is calculated and from this unrounded weighted result, 0.5 points (out of 20) will be deducted. This result is then rounded in accordance with the rounding rules of the OER and is the final result of the course. |
